Got to Groove

We started out this week with the good fortune of playing at Brown’s Harvest in Windsor. It was an absolutely glorious fall day in CT. The wind was steady, the sky was blue and the clouds were high. Thank you to our fans and family who came to support us.

The farm was buzzing all day long with activity. The Hay rides into the woods, to explore the fairy village, ran nonstop. The balloon artist had a constant line waiting for his responce to everyone‘s special requests. I saw him make spiders, mermaids and even an alien. His line meant we had a captive audience, so arguably the best part of my day was watching young kids and toddlers react to our music.

It was such a delight to see wee ones, completely uninhibited, dancing & swirling. The youngest looked like she was barely 1, and when her feet hit the ground, she had to groove! Priceless! Such a gift to get to witness such a joyful reaction.

There’s talk of a stage being built & a music festival in the works for next Summer. You’re gonna want to join us, it’s a truly magical place!

Our focus for Oct is getting our electric set fine tuned for the Hot Rod Hootenanny. We’ll be bring the diesel power, you can bank on it!

This week I am thankful for fall foliage, for family friendly venues & for friends and family who trek across the state to support our musical mission.

What are you Thankful for?
