Tonight’s practice was productive and fulfilling. We ran through our set list for Sparkfest, an event we are playing to Celebrate the Life of my dad, Ed - who earned the nickname Sparky because of his practice of working on live wires. Music was such an integral part of his Life & I’m excited to honor him with our songs. He was always encouraging me to continue pursuing my dreams & to sing, he led by example and typically had a music group or project that he was engaged with too. He believed in the healing powers of music and sang in more churches and attended more live shows than I could keep track of. He had an eclectic range of interests and was always aware of tour schedules and local performances.

Now that the weather is getting nice and venues are opening back up, I hope you find ways to support your local music scene too. May you be moved beyond just toe tapping and get up and dance, let your body move and groove, shake, rattle & roll!! I miss dancing to live music & when I get a chance, I fully intend to swirl & twirl until my heart’s content - I think you should too!
Now that we have a full band & a full set list we looking forward to more opportunities to play out & share our musical feelings with the world and be part of the reason listeners are compelled to boogie. We are available for public shows & private parties if you know of anyone looking for original tunes with smoking grooves, hit us up!
Today I’m thankful for my musical lineage, for family and friends who find reasons to gather & celebrate & for songs that pull us all out on the dance floor.
What are you Thankful for?
