Tonight I can say pretty much the same thing I did last week: practice was everything it was supposed to be and more! Hugh and Bob got an early start and recording the bass line for Walking Bag Blues. Bob was trying out some new guitars as we worked through our set list and continued working on yet another brand new tune using a riff that Bob’s been playing for years, calling it “Mother Blue” It’s a song inspired by Mother Nature and her blue skies & bluer waters - a tribute to how good it feels to be put on the Ocean & under a big blue Sky. You can check out the music for it on Bob’s YouTube page: https://youtu.be/NgxiKDNL26E

There’s something about Nature that’s so wildly inspiring, comforting, unpredictable yet reassuring. My ride home was filled with rain drops and lightning that felt like the good ole days when Wednesdays meant Severe weather warnings on the way to and from practice. For weeks when we just started building TSR it would storm every single time we jammed. Tonight was no exception and energetically I have to say, I love the buzz!
This week I’m thankful for the rain that cooled down the Quiet Corner of CT, for jam sessions where everyone chimes in and follows their creative hunches & for all the Blues that life has to offer!
What are you Thankful for?
