Snake, Rattle & Roll

This evening we released our new music video for a gritty, ditty called “Snake”. My blog “Wake Up, Snake Up” (2/3/21) was written just as it was taking shape, peep that for more on its origins and significance.

I’m thrilled how close we got the video & song to match up with Bob’s initial vision of a 70s haze...complete with Lava lamps, strobe lights and bad ass guitar - if only we had smellavision you’d be immersed in Nag Champa & reefer too. check it out: https://youtu.be/I10r1RM0kik

The song came together with zero resistance however the video required me to go waaaaay beyond my comfort zone to become the image Bob described to me: hair slicked back, sun glasses, “look like a snake”...it was easy enough for me to draw inspiration from when MTV & VH1 played Aerosmith, U2 & Robert Palmer’s videos & brought us images of bold front men & entourage in their glory, sensationally glamorous and Simply Irresistible, that’s what I was going for anyways, starting from ragamuffin 5-star hippie chic it’s a stretch! Truth be known, I’m not innately comfortable in front of a camera, let alone on video but I did it, I did it for the Love. For the Love of music, artistic expression & because of how strongly I believe in what we are creating & what our intentions are. It took me several takes, a lot of audacity and some Honey Badger gumption to get ‘er done & done is better than perfect so, now all that really counts is that you dig our new joint! I hope it transports you to a super dope psychedelic place where it’s everything’s alright, alright, alright.
