Tonight was a pretty straight forward Wednesday night at the Revival Recording Studio.

We continued to work on "Snake", Bob had already laid down all the guitar parts, bass and organ, so I was able to record the main vocals and back-up parts. It's really starting to come together with a throw back feel - you can pretty much smell the thick incense lingering in the dimly lit room.

It is catchy, catchy - Bob says he caught himself singing it multiple times this week too. That's how I know it's a good one. When the two of us can't seem to shake it and it keeps speaking to us, adding layers, providing inspiration for the extra harmonies or some inspired Wah Pedal lead. It's one of the aspects that I appreciate about writing original music, the freedom to let the creation take you on a journey. Where we start is so infrequently where we end up & the best part is the discovery along the way. It's a thrill to hear all the tracks come together and blend into a true symphony, a compilation of countless creative urges and bursts.

My mission is to give people music that they love singing along to, music that transports them and uplifts them, that gives them a sense of connection or familiarity - the same way music has moved, encouraged and inspired me. I'm so wholeheartedly thankful for our weekly Revival Sessions and that the beat goes on!

"Follow me and I'll take you along. Before you know it you'll be singing my song."
